Recommendation to the Blessed Virgin Mary

O Virgin most kind, Mary, Mother of God, most loving consoler of those in distress, commend to your Son the soul of his servant, N., so that, because of your motherly intervention, he/she may be freed from the terrors of death, and may joyfully arrive, in your company, at his/her longed-for home in heaven. Amen.

Recommendation to Saint Joseph

To you do I turn for refuge, St. Joseph, patron of the dying, at whose happy deathbed Jesus and Mary stood watch. Because of this twofold pledge of hope, I earnestly commend to you the soul of this servant, N., in his/her last agony; so that he/she may, with you as protector, be set free from the snares of the devil and from everlasting death, and may attain to everlasting joy.
